Auto Iris (Direct Drive) lenses are usually used where light levels can change throughout the operational time of the camera, and the iris will be required to automatically change. Direct Drive lenses contain a motor only and will rely on the amplifier in the camera to control the iris motor in changing light conditions. Supplied with a fitted pana connector that will plug into most cameras. These lenses are usually lower cost but must be used with a camera with a built in amplifier.
