Avanti LCD RKP's use 32 character display meaning there's no pesky abbreviations! Once you enter Engineering Mode there's a Help File built-in. Simply press A to accept and the Help File will guide you through programming. The benefit of the Help File is three-fold: Great when you install Avanti for the first time; exellent for your Service Engineer (where's that manual?!) and is great for the environment as does away with lots of needless paper.
